SYDNEY, NS – Sydney Speedway is getting set to put on the final race of the 2020 season. The event, “Halloween Spooktacular”, scheduled for October 24th at 1 pm will include a 50-lap Legend feature presented by King Freight Lines LTD., a 50-lap Mini Stock feature presented by Robby’s Towing Sydney, and the Dawn Campbell Memorial Demo Derby presented by Donald Campbell Jr. and family. Each feature holds a prize of at least $500 for the winner.
In addition to racing, there will be a Halloween Costume Contest. Donald Campbell Jr., District-12 Candidate, will be donating $100 for the scariest costume, $50 for the most creative costume, and $50 for the cutest kid’s costume. Donald will also be putting on a firework show following the Demo Derby.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Grandstand admission will run on a first-come, first-serve basis and will be $15 per person, free for children under 10 years old. Pit entry will be $25 per person. We will also have a food drive to donate to children in need in our communities, anyone who can afford to is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items.
In the event that it rains the race will take place the following day, Sunday October 25th.

- 10:30 am Practice: Legend (15 Minutes)
- 10:45 am Practice: Mini Stock (15 Minutes)
- 11:00 am Practice: Legend (15 Minutes)
- 11:30 am Practice: Mini Stock (15 Minutes)
- 12:00pm Track closes
- 12:15 pm Drivers Meeting
- 12:45 pm Cars to Line up area
- 1:00 pm Legend Heat – 10 laps
- Mini Stock Heat – 10 laps
- First Time Winner mini stock Dash-For-Cash (20 laps)
