The Bay Equipment Rentals Weekly Racing Series returns to its regular Friday at 7:00 pm time slot this week for the second event of the season at Scotia Speedworld. Our friends from Hot Country 103.5 and Surge 105 radio will be joining us at the track so be sure to head to Scotia tomorrow night. Grandstand gates open at 5:00 pm.

The Bay Equipment Rentals Weekly Racing Series Opener has set the bar high for the 2024 season. A total of 93 cars entered – the highest car count for a season opener since 2013. The biggest division was the Strictly Hydraulics Legends, where the action and excitement of 32 cars did not disappoint. In the end, Owen Mahar (Hubley) edged out Nathan Blackburn (Timberlea) for the victory.

Deven Smith (Lakeside – Maritime Auto Glass Sportsman), Chris Drover (Lower Sackville – Toursec Mini Stock), Avery DeCoste (Antigonish – Bluenose Pools Bandolero) and Shelby Chisholm (Antigonish – Bluenose Pools Beginners) also took home feature triumphs on opening day.

Will we see repeat winners on the first Friday night of 2024 or will new faces rock their way to The Tire Man Victory Lane on Hot Country and Surge 105 Night? Find out on Friday.
