A Young Lions Legend Division is being added to the 2020 CARSTAR Weekly Racing Series at Scotia Speedworld. This new division is for drivers from 12 years old to 15 years old. Drivers must have two years of previous racing experience and must successfully apply for inclusion in this new division. An Application Form is on the Scotia Speedworld Website on the ‘Rules’ page. Drivers may be required to be observed on-track displaying their car control and pace. The Young Lions Division will run as a stand-alone division on Friday nights during Scotia Speedworld’sCARSTAR Weekly Racing Series scheduled from May to September. The purpose of this division is to provide a division for experienced Bandolero division drivers to move to before the driver turns 16 years old. Currently, Bandolero drivers, who started racing at eight years old, would have to stay in a Bandolero car for eight years. This new Legend division will also allow the older and larger drivers a chance to continue racing in a car that fits their size better. SSW is the only track in Nova Scotia to host a weekly racing series, which runs May through September and features five different classes of racecars.
