Schedule Unveiled for Atlantic Modified Tour February 1, 2022 Regional Organizers for the Atlantic Modified Tour is pleased to announce their 2022 schedule. The New Brunswick-based Series will visit all four paved oval tracks in the Province from late May to mid-October. In all, the Tour will contest a dozen races with 11 of those counting towards the point championship. The 2022 season will be the 20th consecutive season for the Series that began racing in 2003. Both Petty International Raceway and Speedway Miramichi will host four races each, all of which will factor into determining the Series champion. Petty International Raceway will bookend the year for the Tour, beginning on Saturday, May 21 on the Victoria Day Long Weekend and capping the year on Saturday, October 15. Additional Modified Tour stops to the high-banked bullring in River Glade will take place on Saturday, July 30 and Friday, September 16 during the Mike Stevens Memorial Weekend. Speedway Miramichi will anchor the start of the season for the Atlantic Modified Tour. A home track for several Series regulars, Rounds two, four, and six will be hosted by the North Shore oval. Dates at the Miramichi facility include the track’s season opener on Saturday, May 28, Saturday, July 2, Saturday, August 20, and October 1. The Atlantic Modified Tour will visit Speedway 660 twice, on June 25 and on September 4 as part of SpeedWeekend. For a third consecutive season, the track will host a non-points event to kick off SpeedWeekend on Friday, September 2. The Series will return to the CENTRE For Speed outside of Shediac, New Brunswick on Saturday, October 8. The event will take place during the Atlantic Stock Car Championships on Thanksgiving Day Weekend. The Mod Squad has not run at the facility since Ryan Messer (Harvey, NB) wrapped up his only Atlantic Modified Tour championship in 2014.
