Schedule Released for Oyster Bed Speedway February 19, 2021 Regional OYSTER BED BRIDGE, PE – Management at Oyster Bed Speedway is excited to unveil their 2021 racing schedule. The track will see 10 racing events from May to September in their return season after COVID-19 protocols prevented the Island’s only paved stock car oval from events in 2020. Five divisions will comprise the regular program throughout the upcoming summer of racing along with visits from four touring divisions. Demolition Derby events will bookend the season. The season will kick off on the Victoria Day weekend in May with the Pro Stock, Street Stock, Mini Outlaw, Mini Stock, and Bandolero divisions seeing the green flag on Sunday, May 23. The season finale will see the same card on the Labour Day Weekend on Monday, September 6, minus the Pro Stock division, who will complete their season on Saturday, August 28. Both the May 23 and September 6 events will see a Demolition Derby to complete the show. Four touring divisions will compete at the Island bullring in July. The Maritime Pro Stock and Maritime League of Legends Tours renew their annual treks across the Confederation Bridge for July 3 and July 31 races on Prince Edward Island. The Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour joins the card on July 3 for their debut at Oyster Bed Speedway. The region’s newest touring series, the Heart of a Champion Hot Rod Classics powered by NTN Bearings, takes to the track on July 31. Both cards will also see the Bandolero division compete. The popular Fan Appreciation Night will return on Saturday, July 10 at 6 pm and features a full card of racing. Extended distance races for the Pro Stock (June 19), Street Stock (June 12), and Mini Stock (August 14) also highlight the schedule. Announcements for those three events will follow soon.
