Save the Dates – Riverside Sets 2021 Schedule December 10, 2020 Regional JAMES RIVER, NS – Management for Riverside International Speedway is pleased to announce the 2021 schedule. The season will be anchored by three Maritime Pro Stock Tour championship points events and a fourth special event, a Grass Roots Racing Extravaganza. The popular high-banked facility will see the cars and stars of the Maritime Pro Stock Tour on June 12, July 24, and September 11. The June and September dates are regular events for the series. The July 24 IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis is a highlight of the Canadian stock car season and culmination of the IWK 250 Super Weekend which runs from July 22-24. The Grass Roots Racing Extravaganza is August 21, starting in the daytime with the Rev It Up Show & Shine and finishing in the evening with racing under the lights. Support classes and details for each of the events will be announced as confirmed. A full season is being planned in hopes things are getting back to normal by then. But if still under COVID-19 restrictions, Riverside management is confident they have a good baseline to prepare with. In August the facility was shortlisted by Nova Scotia Public Health authorities to be considered for a larger gathering, and on September 26 hosted an approved event with nearly 1,500 people in attendance. Riverside management thanks government authorities for their leadership through this pandemic, front-line workers for their dedication, and the public for doing their part to help keep us all safe from COVID-19. With the winter months ahead and a vaccine on the horizon, fans are encouraged to remain diligent in abiding by the directives which are in place.
