GEARY, NB – Speedway 660 crowned four track champions on Saturday evening during Night of Champions, three of whom took home their first track titles at the Geary, New Brunswick track. Tristan Harris (Harvey, NB), Chris Hanley (St. Stephen, NB) and Curtis Collins (Barnesville, NB) celebrated their first track championships on Saturday evening while Brent Roy (Hanwell, NB) raced to a second career Pro Stock championship. The track is the first organized paved oval in Atlantic Canada to crown champions in 2019.

Roy raced to not only a championship but a feature victory in the RE/MAX East Coast Elite Pro Stock division. “The Camry Kid” drove to his third feature win of the season over Greg Fahey (St. Stephen, NB) and Ian Rasmussen (New Denmark, NB), which is also how the trio finished in the season-long championship. Lonnie Sommerville (Barnesville, NB), who raced for position late in the feature with Kevin Moore (Fredericton, NB), took home a heat race victory on the evening.

Curtis Collins entered with the championship lead in the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman division and would leave Night of Champions with the track title. Collins, who cut his teeth racing in the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters division at the track, would wind up second in the final feature of the season to Lonnie Sommerville Racing stablemate and 2018 champion Drew Greenlaw (Eastport, ME). Rob Raynes (Saint John, NB) completed the podium in the final Sportsman feature of the season in Geary. Hudson Weston (Saint John, NB) raced to the heat race win.

Chris Hanley was strong when it counted near the end of the season to take home the DMR Auto Street Stock title in 2019. Hanley finished on the podium Saturday evening in third behind feature winner Justin Cole (Harvey, NB) and 2018 champion Shawn Hyslop (St. Stephen, NB). Hyslop and Cole each took home qualifying heat races.

An early exit to the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters feature by Brody Levesque (Fredericton, NB) opened the door for Tristan Harris to capture not only the Rookie of the Year Award in the class but also the overall championship. Harris finished tenth in a 21 car field on Saturday evening to clinch his first track championship in his first full season of racing. Meanwhile, fellow rookie Jon Forsythe (Oromocto, NB) drove to Riverview Ford Lincoln Victory Lane for the first time in feature competition his career, winning the 20-lap A-Main event on Night of Champions. Former champion Tyler Seveck was second in the feature with Jeff Rose (Harvey Station, NB) racing to third. Heat races were won by the podium finishers, Forsythe, Seveck, and Rose.
