Maritime League of Legends Back on Track in 2021 March 10, 2021 Regional The Maritime League of Legends Tour will return to competition in 2021 after a pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Tour will visit six race tracks between the three Maritime Provinces in 2021, including one returning venue to the Series, encompassing eleven events from May to September. The Series will also oversee three Bandolero events, which will award INEX points. 2021 Maritime League of Legends Tour Schedule Schedule is subject to change without notice. The Maritime League of Legends Tour will kick off on Saturday, May 22nd at Petty International Raceway and will close its season on Saturday, September 18th at the same River Glade, New Brunswick facility. The Series will contest four of its 11 point races in the Province, with a double header taking place on September 4th and 5th at Speedway 660 during SpeedWeekend 2021. The Sunday event on SpeedWeekend is an added event to the schedule. The Province of Nova Scotia will host five races on the 2021 calendar. Scotia Speedworld, the home of INEX sanctioned racing in the Province, will see their first 50-lap feature on Saturday, May 29th. The Maritime League of Legends Tour will make a second stop outside of Nova Scotia’s capital city on August 14th as Scotia Speedworld hosts their annual Pro Stock 250 event. Riverside International Speedway, a favorite among teams and fans alike, will host their traditional two stops for the Series during the IWK 250 Super Weekend on Friday, July 23rd and during The Grass Roots Racing Extravaganza on Saturday, August 21st. The Maritime League of Legends Tour is excited to add an event at Sydney Speedway to the schedule for 2021. While this is not the first time since series inception in 2005 that the track has hosted the Maritime League of Legends Tour, it is the first time the track will host the Tour under both the current track management and Series executive. The track will play host to the Series on Saturday, June 5th. Prince Edward Island bookends the month of July with a pair of events at Oyster Bed Speedway on July 3rd and July 31st. These two Legend races are the only two races for the division on the Oyster Bed Speedway schedule in 2021 and the Series looks forward to crossing the Confederation Bridge for the two events. In total, the Maritime League of Legends Tour will race on seven undercards to major Pro Stock events the same night with two more of those events taking place on the night before major “crown jewel” Maritime races. In addition to the 11 Legend races, the Maritime League of Legends Tour will oversee a trio of Bandolero events in 2021. These events are produced in part with Tim’s Corner Motorsports and will see drivers compete for INEX points. The first event is scheduled for Speedway Miramichi in Miramichi, New Brunswick on Saturday, May 15th. The second is a doubleheader at Speedway 660 SpeedWeekend on Saturday, September 4th, and Sunday, September 5th. More information on these events will be available as they draw closer.
