RAWDON, NS – Emily Meehan will make her Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour (PST) debut in the Dartmouth Dodge 200 at Scotia Speedworld this Saturday. Meehan, a multiple-time Bandolero and Legend feature winner at Scotia Speedworld from Rawdon, will drive No. 75 Dexter Construction, Municipal Group, Archibald Drilling and Blasting Chevrolet SS, owned and overseen by Stephen Henderson of Truro. Meehan will be a teammate to two-time series champion and defending Dartmouth Dodge 200 winner Shawn Turple of Enfield. “I am very excited and grateful for this opportunity,” said Meehan, 19. “Our goal is to stay out of trouble over 200-laps and enjoy ourselves. I want to thank everyone who helped to make this possible.” Meehan brings a strong resume to pro stocks as runner-up on the 2013 Maritime League of Legends Tour (MLOL), three wins in Scotia Speedworld’s Legends division this year, along with being the inaugural Speedway 660 Speedweekend Bandolero champion. She is currently fourth in the Speedworld Legends division standings and third in the MLOL standings; one race remains on each to determine the final positions. Meehan will be doing double-duty this weekend as she competes Friday at Speedworld for the final time this year in her Legends car. Meehan’s move to pro stock follows a similar path of PST drivers Dylan Blenkhorn, Cole Butcher, and Brad Eddy – all of whom are expected to be in the field this Saturday. Pro stock time trials start Saturday at 3:10 p.m. and racing starts at 4. Scotia Speedworld is located at exit 6 on Highway 102, across from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport. source – team communications
