The division will hit the track on three additional Saturday night dates during the Summer, including June 19th, August 7th, and September 11th. The Season Finale for the Eastern Powder Coating Legend division will take place during the Eighth Annual Mike Stevens Memorial Weekend on Friday, September 17th.

These five races will determine the house class champion and are in addition to the two traditional Maritime League of Legend Tour stops to Petty International Raceway, taking place in 2021 on Saturday, May 22nd and Saturday, September 18th. All Legend races at Petty International Raceway are INEX-sanctioned.

“Partnering with Petty International Raceway is a perfect fit for Eastern Powder Coating,” said Scott Chisholm of Eastern Powder Coating. “Several of our customers race within Atlantic Canada and this marketing opportunity with Wayne and Ellen Smith gives us a chance to showcase our business to new clients within the sport. We look forward to seeing everyone at the track on the Victoria Day Weekend!”

“Petty International Raceway is pleased to welcome Eastern Powder Coating to our racing family with the Legend division,” said Wayne Smith of Petty International Raceway. “This year will see the Eastern Powder Coating Legends with stacked fields including some of the top running cars and best drivers in the Maritimes. We have a bunch of young, hungry drivers who will use this class as a rung in the ladder through the divisions of racing in the Maritimes. We also have veteran drivers who call the Eastern Powder Coating Legends home and want to outrace the young guns every time the green flag drops. This is a great fit for both Petty International Raceway and Eastern Powder Coating and we look forward to a great season!”

The season at Petty International Raceway begins with a double header on the Victoria Day Weekend in May. The Saturday, May 22nd card is led by the Season Opener for the Maritime Pro Stock Tour along with INEX sanctioned action with the Maritime League of Legends and Petty Raceway Bandolero division. In addition to the Eastern Powder Coating Legend division, the Sunday, May 23rd card will see a 100-lap Late Model Sportsman feature, a 50-lap Street Stock event along with action in the Mini Stock, Bandolero and Women on Wheels. The Atlantic Modified Tour will also kick off their season on Sunday, May 23rd. Both racing cards on the Victoria Day Weekend have a 4pm start time.
