There was a buzz of excitement in the air all weekend long and we plan to build on that momentum moving into next year.” Highlights for the 2023 event include a Wednesday practice session for divisions racing Friday, the annual IWK 250 Test’N’Tune followed by the popular Tailgate Party on Thursday, grassroots racing on Friday, and culminating on Saturday with the IWK 250 Presented by Steve Lewis. The IWK 250 is an iconic race on the North American stock car circuit with long roots, reaching back as far as 1977 when the first 250-lap event held in the Maritimes was contested at Riverside. Since then a who’s-who of Canadian stock car royalty and even a couple of NASCAR stars have won the event and seen their names on the revered John W. Chisholm Memorial Cup. The IWK 250 Super Weekend has raised awareness and over $525,000 for the IWK Foundation since its inception in 2007 thanks to the overwhelming generosity of fans, racers, sponsors, and staff. This is the first date announcement for what is expected to be a busy season with an expanded schedule for Riverside in 2023.
