Blenkhorn Gets Second Win of Season at Petty June 26, 2016 Regional RIVER GLADE, NB – Dylan Blenkhorn brought home his second win of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour season by taking the checkered flag at Petty International Raceway Saturday night. Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) inherited the lead from Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) on lap 87 and battled with Cassius Clark (Farmington, ME) for the lead in a wild finish to the race. Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) edged out Clark for the second spot at the finish. Prince Edward Island drivers Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell, PE) and Darren MacKinnon (Charlottetown, PE) were fourth and fifth, respectively. Complete results Atlantic Tiltload Qualifying started off the exciting night of racing and saw Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS), Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS), and Clark with wins. Slaunwhite led the majority of laps for the Linde Most Laps Led Award. Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) was the recipient of the King Freight Lines Future Winners Award with a ninth place finish, followed by Nevin Scott (Marshfield, PE) in 10th for the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race Award. In the first four races of the 2016 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour season, Blenkhorn and Clark have split the wins at two apiece. Austin MacDonald (Pictou, NS – Bandolero), Tim Webster (Beaver Bank, NS – Mini Stock) and Craig Ward (Riverview – Street Stock) took home support class victories prior to the Petty 100. The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is back in New Brunswick next Saturday for the Cummins 100 at Speedway 660 in Geary, just outside of Fredericton.
