Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Postponed to 2022 October 9, 2021 Regional PETITCODIAC, NB – Management for the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame regretfully announce the 2021 Induction Ceremony has been postponed until 2022. The decision was made out of an abundance of caution for attendees and staff as COVID-19 cases continue to increase in New Brunswick. Organizers are now planning a “doubleheader” weekend next November when the Class of 2021 will be enshrined in the hallowed hall on Friday, November 18 and the Class of 2022 on Saturday, November 19. The Class of 2021 was announced earlier this year and includes: From New Brunswick Hinson Ashe (Moncton) – Competitor, Stock CarRaymond ‘Ray’ Bastille (Moncton) – Competitor, Sports CarRobert ‘Bob’ Guthrie (Fredericton) – Competitor/Builder, Sports Car From Nova Scotia Dwight Giddens (Bible Hill) – BuilderGlen Walker (Lower Sackville) – Competitor, Drag RacingRussell White / Bobby White (Kennetcook) – Competitor/ Builder, Stock Car From Prince Edward Island Emmett ‘Emmo’ Donahue (Charlottetown) – Competitor, Stock CarKris Fournier (Charlottetown) – Competitor/Builder, Stock CarAllan MacPhail / David Peters (Cornwall) – Competitor/ Builder, Stock CarPrince Edward Island Antique Car Club (Kensington) – Collector/ Promoter, Antiques The Class of 2022 will be determined based on nominations received before April 1, 2022. Nominations can be made by anyone and can be for anyone they feel has contributed greatly to any genre of motorsports in the Maritimes. Both ceremonies will be held at the Rodd Royalty in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Management regrets any inconvenience the postponement of this year’s celebration may cause but are confident it is the right decision for all involved. The Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame is located in Petitcodiac. It is the only dedicated motorsports venue of its type in Canada and pays homage to the people and the vehicles that have built the foundation of motorsports in the Maritimes.
