Summer Sizzler Set for Saturday at Riverside August 19, 2021 Regional JAMES RIVER, NS – Riverside International Speedway is set for the Summer Sizzler event this Saturday with high octane excitement and fun for the whole family. Buy Tickets The show will feature the Wilson Equipment Twin 75s for the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour along with the Henry’s AUTOPRO 75 for the NAPA Sportsman series. Both races are qualifiers for September’s IWK 250 weekend. The winner of each division’s feature race plus one other determined by random draw will be guaranteed coveted starting spots in their races on the 250 weekend. The Wilson Equipment Twin 75s will see the field paused at 1/2-way when a spin of a wheel will decide how many, if any, of the top 10 runners will be inverted to start lap 75. Championship points and race results will be based on the order the cars cross the finish line at lap 150. The Henry’s AUTOPRO 75 will also utilize the Riverside Roulette wheel to potentially shuffle the running order just past halfway. Heat races will set the starting order for both divisions. Dazzling Dylan Langille, the track announcer, will pick lucky fans to spin the wheel and have a full array of prize packs to give away throughout the show including official Riverside swag and Qwick Wick Fire Starters, the world’s best fire starter. Dartmouth’s Nicholas Naugle will look to make it three-in-a-row at Riverside with wins in the last two PST races at the popular track while Hantsport’s Cole Butcher will look to snap Nicholas’ streak and add to his three out of five win total on the series this year. Craig Slaunwhite, the winner of the most recent PST race, hopes to make it two-in-a-row. Antigonish favourite, Donald Chisholm – the active driver with the most wins at Riverside – is overdue for a visit to his home track Victory Lane. Several others will be poised to snatch the win and join the Riverside Winners Circle.
