Randy Storey (Royal Road, NB) held off all challengers on a pair of late race restarts to capture the Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooter 50 Friday night to kick off SpeedWeekend 2020 at Speedway 660. Storey raced to the win ahead of Darren Wilcox (Fredericton, NB) and rookie Daniel Atyeo (Chipman, NB). Sixteen drivers answered the call to the green flag in the four cylinder feature. Storey and Atyeo won heat races ahead of the 50-lap feature.

Chris Wilson (South Esk, NB) scored his second career Atlantic Modified Tour victory by taking the checkered flag first in the Bryn Enterprises 35. The non-point exhibition race saw reigning Series titlist Brandon Skidmore (Springhill, NS) and a returning Jamie Weston (Saint John, NB) join Wilson on the podium. Yves McCray (Neguac, NB) won the heat race. The Atlantic Modified Tour returns on Sunday afternoon, September 6th for the Krown Rust Control 35.

SpeedWeekend 2020 continues on Saturday, September 5th with the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 125. The Tim’s Corner Motorsports Bandolero Blast, Legend and Mini Stock divisions round out the full card. Pre-race festivities kick off at 5:30pm with Bandolero Driver Introductions with the green flag at 6pm. Sunday, September 6th will see the 20th running of the RE/MAX East Coast Elite Pro Stock 250, the second leg of the TCM Bandolero Blast, the DMR Auto Street Stock 50, Mini Stock Outlaw 50 and the Atlantic Modified Tour Krown Rust Control 35. Racing begins on Sunday at 2pm.
