Johnny Clark Beats Jeff Taylor for Elusive Oxford 250 Win August 31, 2020 Regional Maine racing veteran Johnny Clark won his first Oxford 250 Sunday night at Oxford Plains Speedway. Clark, who first entered the historic race in 1997, held off fellow Main racing veteran Jeff Taylor for the win. Clark, a six-time Pro All Stars Series champion, took the lead with less than 70 laps to go in spite of a late-race rally from Taylor. Taylor blistered the competition in the first half of the race, lapping all but 13 cars, but after pitting twice in a lap 161 caution, started at the rear to make his rally to the end. Joey Doiron finished third with Dave Farrington Jr. fourth and Mike Hopkins rounding out the top five finishers. 1) 54 – Johnny Clark – 250 Laps2) 88T – Jeff Taylor – 2503) 21 – Joey Doiron – 2504) 23 – Dave Farrington Jr. – 2505) 15 – Mike Hopkins – 2506) 60s – DJ Shaw – 2507) 99 – Ben Ashline – 2508) 29s – Trevor Sanborn – 2509) 94h – Garrett Hall – 25010) 47b – Gabe Brown – 25011) 9t – Alan Tardiff – 25012) 7g – Curtis Gerry – 25013) 32 – Derek Ramstrom – 25014) 13 – Cassius Clark – 24915) 17ma – Eddie MacDonald – 24916) 29t – Austin Teras – 24917) 4 – Ben Rowe – 24918) 51 – Jon Peters – 24819) 88b – Brandon Barker – 24820) 81 – Dan Winter – 24821) 24 – Mike Rowe – 24822) 96 – Wyatt Alexander – 247 23) 12 – Corey Bubar – 24724) 7b – Travis Benjamin – 24525) 90 – Craig Weinstein – 24526) 14 – Scott McDaniel – 24327) 10 – Kate Re – 24028) 20 – Joey Pastore – 23729) 12g – Derek Griffith – 22830) 3c – Josh Childs – 22031) 93ct – Ray Christian III – 20532) 1 – Kyle Desouza – 18333) 8 – Calvin Rose Jr. – 17134) 26p – Bubba Pollard -15535) 94 – Shawn Martin 11336) 41 – Tracy Gordon – 10137) 72 – Scott Robbins – 9938) 85 – Travis Stearns – 9139) 60b – Tim Brackett – 6540) 72x – Ryan Kuhn -4641) 36 – Ryan Robbins – 3242) 53 – Alan Wilson – 2643) 14c – Anthony Costantino – 2344) 40vt – Nick Sweet – 17 Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the race was held with just 200 people in the grandstand; it seats 8,000.
