PENSACOLA, FL – After setting fast time during Snowflake 100 practice on Thursday, Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) sat out practice sessions on Friday. His fast lap of 16.752-seconds around the 1/2-mile oval on Thursday continues to hold as overall fast time in the division after fast time on Friday was set at 17.105.

It’s a different story for Maine’s Cassius Clark and Pictou (NS)-based King Racing who are attempting to qualify for Sunday’s Snowball Derby. After a disappointing Thursday, the #13 was just 47th fastest in the first practice session on Friday and then qualified 51st (16.841-seconds), moving them into Saturday’s Last Chance race. They will have to finish in the top four in order to make the grid on Sunday. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series phenom William Byron won the pole for the Snowball Derby with a lap of 16.201; Ty Majeski’s lap of 16.241 was good enough for second on the grid.

Qualifying for the Snowflake 100 is Saturday at 2 p.m. ET (3 p.m. AT). The top 30 will transfer and the remaining entries will compete in a Last Chance race with the top four qualifying.

The Snowflake 100 is set for Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET (9 p.m. AT).
