Speed Chart – Saturday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series practice at Dover DOVER, DE – Spotty showers Saturday at Dover International Speedway finally caused officials to postpone the NASCAR XFINITY Series Drive Sober 200 until Sunday at 10 a.m. ET (11 a.m. AT). The move sets up a rare one-day doubleheader with the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race set to start at Dover 2 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Fans with tickets to either race will gain admission to both races. Final practice for the Sprint Cup Series was also cut due to the weather. The first round of practice saw Jeff Gordon with fast time in Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 88 car. The XFINITY Series qualifying session started but was scrapped when persistent showers set in after the first round, handing Erik Jones the pole for the race. Friday’s Sprint Cup Series qualifying was cancelled by rain putting Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex on the front row to start that race. The NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Sunday will be broadcast by CNBC; Canadian fans should check the TSN family of channels for coverage. Sunday’s Dover forecast shows overcast skies clearing by the afternoon with temps in the mid-20s (C).
