Schedule Announced for Mini Stock Tour

Management of the Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour is pleased to announce the Series 2019 schedule of events. In its third year, the Series will visit a total of six unique pavement stock car ovals from May to September, totaling nine events over the course of the 2019 calendar.

The 2019 season for the Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour will begin with a 50-lap feature on Saturday, May 18th at Petty International Raceway. This is the second straight season the high banked bullring in River Glade, New Brunswick will host the season opener. Dave Matthews (Kennetcook, NS) is the defending winner of the event.

From there, the Series will head to Scotia Speedworld for the first of two events at the 3/10-mile oval. Located outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia, the track will be the stage for second round on Saturday, June 22nd and Saturday, August 10th. The two cards are headlined by the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour with the August 10th event taking place prior to the prestigious 20th Annual Toromont Cat 250. Andrew Warren (White’s Lake, NS), driving a Honda CRX, took home the win in the Tour’s inaugural stop at a track that is home for many full time Series competitors.

The Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour will be a major part of the re-opening weekend at Sydney Speedway in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Purchased at the start of the year by Greg Dowe, the Series will ring in the new era with two 75-lap features on the weekend, one on Saturday, July 6th and one on Sunday, July 7th.  Each of these races will count towards the Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour championship.

From Sydney, the East Coast Mini Stock Tour will travel from one tip of Canada’s Ocean Playground to the other. Lake Doucette Motor Speedway will once again host a 75-lap feature on the August Long Weekend on Sunday, August 4th. In 2018, the 75-lap feature was one of the biggest events of the season for the track located in the Southwest corner of the Province which was won by eventual Tour champion Matthew Warren (White’s Lake, NS) for his first feature victory of the year.

Riverside International Speedway will once again be the stage for two events, including the Season Finale on Saturday, September 7th. The first of two events will take place on Friday, August 16th on the eve of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series Bumper to Bumper 300. The Series will crown a champion at the iconic track outside of Antigonish, Nova Scotia on Saturday, September 7th prior to the penultimate round of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. The 2017 Tour champion Tim Webster (Beaver Bank, NS) and Cody Byrne (Orwell Cove, PE) each picked up wins at Riverside International Speedway in 2018. Riverside International Speedway celebrates its 50th season in 2019.

For the third consecutive season, the Passione Flooring & Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour will be a part of New Brunswick’s biggest weekend of stock car racing. SpeedWeekend 2019 at Speedway 660 in Geary, New Brunswick will host Round Eight of the Series on Saturday, August 31st. Matthews will look to take a third consecutive SpeedWeekend victory when the Series returns to the “Geary woods” after taking the win in 2017 and 2018.
