They bumped each other during the race, and then carried the brawl onto pit road post-race.

Considering NASCAR’s “Boys Have At It” policy do you think they will penalize either driver for their actions? If so, who – and how?

UPDATE: On Tuesday (May 10) NASCAR officials penalized both Busch and Harvick for their post-race pit road antics. Each driver will pay a $25,000 fine and is on probation for four events until June 15.

Dale Earnhardt was inducted to the inaugural class of the NASCAR Hall of Fame in May 2010.

Looking back on it February 18, 2001 was one of those landmark days in life, at least the life of a race fan, a day when an event would  forever etch in your mind memories of the day – the day we lost Dale Earnhardt.

For me, watching the SPEED television production of ‘The Day’ brought those memories reeling back. I thought it was an awesome production.

On February 18, 2001 I woke in Daytona Beach - saw the start of the 500, then left the track - and saw the end of the 500 on TV in Charlotte, and then spent the next few days literally listening to people of all ages and from all walks of life cry publically as they shared their grief on Charlotte radio stations. An amazing experience I’ll never forget.
