Weather Forces Cape Breton Speedway to Postpone Saturday Show October 21, 2016 Regional SYDNEY, NS – Wet weather, and a forecast for more on Saturday has forced officials at Cape Breton Miners Memorial Speedway to postpone the season finale championship show that was set for Saturday until Sunday, with Sunday’s schedule pending how much rain falls on the area over the next 24-36 hours. Sunday will see championships determined in the stock car racing divisions and then the demolition derby will follow. The pit area will open at 9:30 a.m., the main gate at Noon, and racing starts at 1 p.m. Those planning to attend Sunday should check conditions prior to departure.
