The Vincent-Lambe-Garnier Racing Team is Ontario bound tomorrow for one of the most talked about short track events of the year, the inaugural Canadian Short Track Nationals at Jukasa Motor Speedway. The Canadian Short Track Nationals is going to be Canada’s biggest and richest asphalt oval race in history with $200,000 in prize money and $50,000 going to the winner. Two-time IWK 250 winner and full-time Maritime Pro Stock Tour competitor Kent Vincent will pilot his #8 Dodge at Sunday’s event. Vincent and his Prince Edward Island based team will be just one of 64 cars already entered jockeying to qualify for the 40 car field. “This is a big deal for our team to compete against the best in North America” stated Vincent. “We are a small team on a tight budget, but feel like we have a good shot at this deal and will try and make Atlantic Canada proud” This event has drawn interest from many of the top Late Model racers in North America. Drivers from the United States such as last weekend’s Oxford 250 winner Bubba Pollard, Johnny VanDoorn, Kyles Bush’s driver Raphael Lessard and NASCAR legend Sterling Marlin are just a few that will make their way north of the border to challenge the tough Canadian contingent and Vincent.
