The Byrne Plumbing and Heating 20 is the only race in June for the tour. The post time on Saturday is 6 pm. Saint John, New Brunswick’s Mark Ferguson enters the second race with a four-point led on rookie contender Jacob Dunlop (Hampton, PE). Ferguson won the Doc Dawson’s Enterprises Season Opener by mere inches over reigning champion Matt Watson (Miscouche, PE), making the final pass of a back and forth race coming to the checkered flag. Dawson purchased his new race team from Don Gaudet (Miscouche, PE) and is slated to drive the cars Watson drove to many feature wins and championships on the Eastern Super Mini Cup Series. Dunlop leads Randy Wilson in the Rookie of the Year standings by ten markers after one race. Wilson scored a top five in his first feature with the Eastern Super Mini Cup Series on May 21st.
