Speedway 660 Posts 2019 Schedule

GEARY, NB – March 17th, 2019) – Management of Speedway 660 is excited to announce their 2019 schedule of events. The 26th season of racing in Geary, New Brunswick will feature 15 racing cards over 14 weekends from the Victoria Day weekend in May to the Labour Day weekend in September. The racing program will focus on local racing throughout the Summer with the four house divisions taking centre stage every weekend in the “Geary woods.”

Racing kicks off on Sunday, May 19th at 2pm with the Pro Stock, Sportsman, Street Stock and Sharp Shooter (Four Cylinder) divisions. As has been the case in the past, championship point racing will start on Sunday afternoons for the first three weeks of the season before transitioning to its traditional Saturday evening at 6:30pm post time. The only exception to that time frame is on Canada Day weekend, where the Saturday evening timeslot will give way to a 4pm start on Sunday, June 30th.

Several special events are scattered through the schedule for each of the house divisions. The Sharp Shooter/Four Cylinder division will take to the track for 50 lap features on Saturday, June 8th and Sunday, June 30th. The DMR Auto Sales and Service Street Stock division will headline the card on Saturday, July 13th with the history making Ricky Bobby Street Stock 150. It is scheduled to be the first time in recent memory that the Street Stock class in Atlantic Canada has competed 150-laps of feature racing on a single night. The Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman division will shine in the spotlight on Saturday, June 22nd in a 100-lap feature. The Pro Stock class will race their annual “Best of the Best” Pro Stock 100 on Saturday, July 6th.

The popular Kids Day will take place on Sunday, June 2nd with Christmas in July returning on Saturday, July 27th. Fan Appreciation Night on Saturday. August 17th will help set the stage for Night of Champions on Saturday, August 24th.

SpeedWeekend 2019 will once again close the year, climaxing with the 19th Annual Pro Stock 250 on Sunday, September 1st. The Sportsman division will take to the track Saturday evening for a 100-lap feature. Support class information and Friday evening kickoff event information will be announced as the season draws closer.

Speaking of SpeedWeekend 2019, Speedway 660 has announced a new program that will reward drivers who compete in every scheduled point event at the track. Each eligible driver who races every point program for their respective division will receive a weekend pit pass for SpeedWeekend 2019 as a small token of appreciation for supporting the Championship Point Racing program at their local short track.

The schedule will also feature stops by three of the top grassroots touring series in the Maritimes. The Atlantic Modified Tour will race on Sunday, May 26th and they are scheduled to join the Maritime League of Legends Tour and East Coast Mini Stock Tour on SpeedWeekend 2019.
