Management at Speedway 660 and Petty International Raceway is excited to announce a partnership that will see their remaining extended distance Pro Stock races come together to form a mini-series. The tracks will reward drivers who compete in the four stand-alone events, with the top three in overall points between the four races receiving cash bonuses. Several contingency programs and vendor draws will also be made over the four events. Each venue will host two of the four races in the series. The first of four races will take place on Saturday, August 8th at Speedway 660 with the Best of the Best Pro Stock 150. The next week, Petty International Raceway will host the second event with a 150-lap feature as a part of the 56th River Glade International. The focus will then shift to SpeedWeekend and the 20th Annual Pro Stock 250 on Sunday, September 6th. The final of four races will be the 200-lap Mike Stevens Memorial event at Petty Raceway on Saturday, September 19th. In addition to the $5000 in purse money split between the top three in championship points after the four races ($2500 to the champion, $1500 to second, $1000 to third), a handful of vendor draws will be made throughout the Series. At each race, a random draw will be made at the drivers meeting for a set of four Hoosier Racing Tires from Bicknell Racing Products. Following the completion of the fourth race, another draw will be made for an ARBodies race car body courtesy of Lonnie Sommerville Racing for teams who have competed in all four events. When adding cash and prizes together, over $10,000 in added value is on the line in addition to individual race purses. “With the roller coaster of a year 2020 has been, we’re excited to partner with Wayne and Ellen Smith to get this series going,” said Max Roy of Speedway 660. “Some of these teams have been itching to get racing and now we’re able to have a series with some great prizes for them.” With these two tracks working together, the ultimate goal is to strengthen the motorsports ties throughout the Province and within the Maritimes between not only venues but between racers. “We are pleased to be working together with Speedway 660 on this four race Pro Stock deal,” said Wayne Smith of Petty International Raceway. “I think this is going to help the racing industry in New Brunswick as a whole.
