RIVER GLADE, NB – Craig Slaunwhite (Terence Bay, NS) won the Parts for Trucks 150, a River Glade International event – and the unique grandfather clock trophy that goes with it, Saturday night at Petty International Raceway. Slaunwhite led all but one of the 150 laps during the highlight event of the 51st running of the historic River Glade International. Championship contender Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) finished second followed by Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) who came back from an early spin to finish third. Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall, PE) and Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS), also a championship contender, rounded out the top five. Butcher set the pace at Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials with a hot lap of 13.783 seconds. Slaunwhite won the King Freight Lines Dash for Cash and the $300 cash bonus that goes with it. Chisholm and reigning series champ John Flemming (Halifax, NS) won their respective Dartmouth Dodge heat races. DJ Casey (Prospect, NS) was the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race. With just two races to go the championship chase is tight; Chisholm unofficially takes the point lead over Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) by four markers. Darren Mackinnon (Charlottetown, PE) who won the Linde 100 in June at Petty International is third and sits just nine points behind the leader. Butcher’s second place finish moves him to within 13 points of the leader. Justin MacNeill won the Atlantic Tiltload Maritime League of Legends feature (photo – Ken MacIsaac). Justin MacNeill (Bedford, NS), Paul Goulden (Shelburne, NS) and Jarrett Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) were on the podium in the 50 lap Legends feature.
