Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150 Will Open Riverside Race Season April 2, 2018 Regional JAMES RIVER, NS – For the 11th year in a row the premiere General Motors dealership in eastern Nova Scotia will sponsor the season opener at Riverside International Speedway. Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro) is expected to go for a three-peat on June 16 having won the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150 for the last two years. Blenkhorn also scored the biggest win of his racing career at Riverside last year when he became the IWK 250 champion. Besides Blenkhorn, previous winners of the Ron MacGillivray sponsored races over the past 11 years include Donald Chisholm (Antigonish) and Shawn Tucker (now retired – Fredericton, NB) both with two wins each. George Koszkulics (New Glasgow), Greg Proude (Charlottetown, PE), JR Fitzpatrick (Appin, ON), and the late Mike Stevens (Moncton, NB), all have one win each. Besides pro stock action, fans in attendance June 16 at Riverside will see the season opener for the NAPA Sportsman Series.
