JAMES RIVER, NS – Management at Riverside International Speedway are pleased to announce that, for the fifth straight year, they are working together with MADD and the regional RCMP to help educate students on how to enjoy and safe and happy graduation. The collaboration will be at Riverside’s season opener June 11 featuring the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150, a championship points race for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour.

“We are so pleased to be involved in this initiative,” said Paul McLean, general manager for Riverside International Speedway. “Growing up healthy and happy is all about making good choices, we’re hoping that by hosting this event and making learning fun we have a positive influence on the lives of teenagers, especially as those who are seniors are preparing for graduation – a landmark event with memories that last a lifetime.”

Free student admission tickets for the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150 will be distributed over the next week to all schools in the Antigonish and Port Hawksbury areas, compliments of local radio stations 98.9 XFM and 101.5 The Hawk, respectively. Additionally, students who visit Snow Queen Leisure World in Lower South River and buy a ticket for a ride will receive a free student admission ticket for the Ron MacGillivray Chev Buick GMC 150. The free tickets can be used by students between eight and 18 years of age.

The NAPA Sportsman Series will provide support class action June 11 with the Highland Home Building Centres 50. Race time is 6 p.m. Advance tickets for the event are now available at www.riversidespeedway.ca.
