TALLADEGA, AL – Inclement weather forced the postponement to Sunday’s YellaWood 500 NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs race at Talladega Superspeedway. As a result, it has been rescheduled for Monday at 12:00 p.m. CDT.

All parking lots will open Monday at 8:00 am CDT. Venue gates – both for the grandstands and the Talladega Garage Experience – open at 10:00 a.m. CDT. All hospitality areas, such as front stretch suites and the YellaWood Pit Road Club, will open at 10:30 a.m. CDT. All campers will be able to say an extra day with load-out by 12 noon on Tuesday.

Playoffs contenders Denny Hamlin (2-time Talladega winner) and Kyle Busch (2008 TSS winner) will start from the front row. Chase Elliott, who has one win at Talladega in 2019, will roll off third, followed by another 2-time Talladega winner Ryan Blaney and NASCAR Cup Series Championship points leader Kyle Larson, who will vie for his first career triumph at the 2.66-mile tri-oval. Brad Keselowski, the active win leader at Talladega with six victories, will start sixth.

WEATHER PROTECTION PLAN:
With the Weather Protection Program, Grandstand tickets to all NASCAR events will apply if any race is postponed. The Program takes effect only if an event is postponed from its original scheduled day to another day. If any of the plans above are put into place, further instructions and information related to the Weather Protection Program will be distributed to everyone.
