Purse Announced for Summer Clash 250 at Speedworld August 3, 2022 Regional Scotia Speedworld and the East Coast International Pro Stock Tour have announced purse and contingency fund details for the Summer Clash 250 presented by Superior Foundations and Atlantic Tiltload. The Summer Clash 250 will take place on Saturday, August 13 at Scotia Speedworld. With a potential purse of over $85,000 and the opportunity for one driver to win more than $33,000 (winner take all), excitement is mounting for the Summer Clash 250. East Coast International Time Trials Time Trials for the Summer Clash 250 will take place on Friday night and determine Heat Race starting positions for Saturday. The winner of Time Trials will take home $1,000! All others who Time Trial will receive $200 courtesy of East Coast International. Lap Money Drivers will be battling hard to lead as many laps as possible at the Summer Clash 250 as each lap they lead will put an additional $75 in their pockets. The total lap money available to be won is $18,750. Additionally, lap sponsors have raised $6,250 for the Dartmouth Boy and Girls Club! Scott Fraser Pole Challenge All drivers will be eligible to take the Scott Fraser Pole Challenge. The driver who takes the challenge moves from the head of the field to the final starting position in the Summer Clash 250. Only one driver can accept the challenge – with the first option going to the winner of the East Coast International Time Trials, if not accepted, moving to 2nd place, and so on. If a driver accepts the challenge they will automatically receive a bonus of $500. An additional $500 will be paid if the driver finishes in the top 10 positions ORAn additional $1,000 will be paid if the driver finishes in the top 5 positions ORAn additional $2,000 will be paid to the driver if they win the Summer Clash 250! Chase the Checkers – Fan Award A new award has been added this season and will see one lucky fan win $1,500! That’s right you don’t need to own a Pro Stock to win some cash at the Summer Clash 250! Anyone who purchases an advance ticket online before Wednesday, August 10th will be entered in a draw to participate in the Chase the Checkers award. A random draw of advance ticket purchasers will be made, those who are lucky enough to be selected will come onto the front stretch at the Summer Clash 250 for opening ceremonies and will draw a driver’s name out of the entry list and be matched with that driver for the day. Whoever wins the Summer Clash 250 will take home an additional $1,500 as will the fan who drew their number. Chase the Checkers is being presented by Imagine Pools. Additional Contingency Funds In addition to the season-long contingency awards, there is some extra to be won next Saturday. The driver who is leading at the halfway mark of the Summer Clash 250 will earn $1,000 courtesy of A&W Burnside & Eastern Passage. The driver who leads the most laps will also win $1,000 courtesy of R&D Performance Centre.
