The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour is headed to Petty International Raceway this Saturday for the Lucas Oil 100. The 100-lap stock car event marks round four of 12 for the popular regional series. Approximately 20 teams from across the Maritimes are expected for Saturday’s event. Qualifying for the Lucas Oil 100 will take place at 5:10 PM with Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials, feature racing is slated for 6:00 PM. Tickets for the Lucas Oil 100 will be available at the gate on race day. One week ago at Scotia Speedworld, Dylan Blenkhorn of Truro, Nova Scotia picked up his first career victory on the elite touring series at the Lockhart Truck Center 150. Blenkhorn’s win moves him up to seventh in the championship point standings. John Flemming (Halifax, NS) continues to the lead the championship chase followed by Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB), Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS), Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell,PE) and Greg Proude (Springvale, PE) who round out the top five. Ryan Mackintosh (Amherst, NS) will make his Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour debut this Saturday at the Lucas Oil 100. Mackintosh started racing at Scotia Speedworld in the Bandolero division before moving to North Carolina to advance his driving career. Mackintosh won the 2013 INEX National Semi-Pro Legends Championship and is slated to pilot former Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Champion Wayne Smith’s ride carrying the #03. Saturday’s race will mark a milestone for the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour as it will be logged in the history books as the 150th event for the series since its inception in 2001. Mini Stocks (25 laps), Street Stocks (30 laps) and the Atlantic Tiltload Legends Challenge (50 laps) will all race on the undercard prior to the Lucas Oil 100. Admission for the Lucas Oil 100 is $25.00 for adults, $10.00 for youth (8-18 years old); pit admission is $30.00. Children 7 and under are admitted for free.
