NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Starts Sunday at Eastbound May 20, 2016 Regional AVONDALE, NF – Eastbound International Speedway will open the season with the first official NASCAR Whelen All-American Series race on Sunday, May 22. Four divisions will take part in the Annual Islander RV Victoria Day Weekend Speedfest including, NAPA Auto Parts Sportsman, Atlantic Dodge Dealers Hobby Stock, Hanlon Realty US Legends, and the Islander RV Bandolero cars. Gates open at 1 p.m. with qualifier heat races kicking things off at 1:45 p.m. Opening ceremonies will start at 3:15 p.m. and officially open the season with the NASCAR family. Director of NASCAR Weekly Racing Operations Kevin Nevalainen, a special guest flyover from the Royal Canadian Air Force, and a few surprises from a special effects team to make this historical event at Eastbound Park one to remember. Tickets are just $15 for kids under 12, $20 GA, and 2 and under Free. Tickets are available online, at North Atlantic Orange Stores, or at the gates.
