Mike Stevens Memorial Postponed Until Thanksgiving Weekend September 12, 2023 Regional Management of Petty International Raceway is announcing the 2023 Mike Stevens Memorial event has been postponed and will be rescheduled to Thanksgiving weekend, October 6, 7, and 8. Due to forecasts consistently predicting impacts from Hurricane Lee to hit Atlantic Canada this weekend, management for Petty International Raceway has made the tough decision to postpone the 10th Annual Mike Stevens Memorial event. Warnings and information statements have been issued, and with safety risks posed by the pending storm, this decision has been made early for those who are traveling and to allow drivers and fans to adjust their plans. DATES The Mike Stevens Memorial event will now be run Friday, October 6, Saturday, October 7, and Sunday, October 8. This allows conflicts to be avoided with upcoming Maritime Pro Stock Tour and Super Late Model Series championship events. CLASSES & FORMAT Classes being run each day will change compared to the original schedule. Details are being ironed out as to which classes are which day(s), but the main event each day will be: Friday October 6 – Street Stock Saturday October 7 – Sportsman Sunday October 8 – MSM Super Late Model 254 Friday will be an evening race, with Saturday and Sunday being afternoon events. Stay tuned for an updated format with start times and itineraries for each day as well as which classes will be competing is expected to be released on Wednesday. CAMPING All reserved camping sites will remain the same. If you have reserved a site but are now unable to attend due to the schedule change, please get in contact with us via email at registration@pettyraceway.com. NEXT EVENT With the Mike Stevens Memorial now wrapping up the summer portion of the season, September 30th will be a big event here at Petty International Raceway with the season finale for the Super Late Model Series, complete with a full card of racing action.
