Newspapers throughout the Maritimes are carrying an advertisement by the Part for Trucks Pro Stock Tour for a Race Director. The successful candidate will report directly to the series general manager Ken Cunning, who they will also be replacing, as Cunning has been the series Race Director for the past two seasons (along with his GM role). The new Race Director will oversee and direct all activities surrounding competition with a bevy of duties ranging from pre-planning to race day operations to post-race payouts – and be a point person for communications with sanctioned tracks and competitors. There is no mention of wages or whether the position is seasonal or full-time. The 2014 Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour season gets underway May 24 at Scotia Speedworld near Halifax (NS), the first of 12 events for this year. source – various
