via Butcher Racing FBJarrett Butcher Finishes Third in Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway December 6, 2020 Regional Nova Scotia’s Jarrett Butcher finished third in the Snowflake 100 Saturday night at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola (FL). It is Jarrett’s first start on the famed half-mile oval; he started ninth on the 36-car field. Jake Johnson was declared the winner after Stephen Nasse was disqualified from the top spot as a result of contact with leader Bubba Pollard on the last lap of the race. Jake Finch finished second after the post-DQ shuffle. Johnson, a teenager from Rehoboth, Massachusetts, who calls Seekonk Speedway his home track won the last-chance race earlier in the day to advance to last place on the starting grid for the Snowflake 100, a late model race. The Snowflake 100 was the prelude to Sunday’s Snowball Derby for super late models. Jarrett’s brother, Cole, will start fourth in the Snowball Derby. Other racing action on Saturday at Five Flags saw 2020 NASCAR Cup Series champion Chase Elliott win the Snowball Derby last chance race. Elliott along with Augie Grill, Derek Griffith, and Chandler Smith (the top four finishers) will make the starting grid for the Snowball Derby on Sunday. The Snowball Derby will be broadcast by Speed51 TV online PPV, starting with a pre-race show at 2 p.m. AT (1 p.m. ET); the green flag for the 300-lap event is set for 3:05 p.m. AT (2:05 p.m. ET).
