Friday is Carload Night at Scotia Speedworld September 4, 2014 Regional HALIFAX, NS – This Friday Scotia Speedworld will be offering $20 per car load admission – again. That’s right, pack them in, as many people as you can fit in one vehicle will all get to take in the Weekly Racing Series for just $20. Please note this is for grandstand seating only. This week is Tim Hortons at the Airport Night featuring the Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros, Lightning cars, Strictly Hydraulics Legends, Coors Light Trucks and the Dartmouth Dodge Sportsman. Grandstand gates open at 5:00 PM with racing action slated to get underway at 7:00 PM. Tim Hortons at the Airport came on board this season to sponsor Rookie of the Year for all divisions in the Weekly Racing Series. The Rookie of the Year battles have been brewing all season long and will be officially coming to a close in two weeks. While nothing is mathematically locked in, Nicholas Naugle (Strictly Hydraulics Legends), Cory Leonard (Coors Light Trucks), Steve Matthews (Lightning) and Austin MacDonald (Hydraulics Plus Bandoleros) each have sizeable leads in their chases to become the top freshman in their respective classes. With one race to go, Brad Hayes has a 22 point lead over Merle Corbin in the Thunder class. Don’t miss any of the action this Friday, with just two weeks left in the 2014 season the chase for the six division championships and Rookie of the Year titles are on.
