August 11 Firecracker 150 at 660 Now a Speedweekend Qualifier August 1, 2018 Regional GEARY, NB – Speedway 660 officials are excited to announce a new program that will see five drivers punch their tickets into Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 150 on September 1. The top five drivers in the Firecracker Sportsman 150 on August 11 will receive a guaranteed starting position in the September classic. With $7,500 going to the winner of the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 150, starting positions will be at a premium with more cars expected to qualify than there are starting positions in the race. This allows drivers to take some of the SpeedWeekend pressure off should they finish in one of the top five positions in the August 11th Firecracker Sportsman 150. SpeedWeekend 2018 is fast approaching and is headlined by the McLaughlin Roof Trusses Pro Stock 250 on Sunday, September 2nd and the Martin’s Home Heating Sportsman 150 on Saturday, September 1st. The weekend will also see racing in the DMR Auto Street Stocks, Fredericton Gun Shop Sharp Shooters, Tim’s Corner Motorsports Bandolero Blast, Maritime League of Legends Tour, Atlantic Modified Tour and the MJS and Prime Lift East Coast Mini Stock Tour for the Pub’s Drive Thru Bottle Exchange 50.
