PENSACOLA, FL – Cole Butcher, from Porters Lake (NS), will start on the outside of the front row in Sunday’s Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway. Butcher’s lap time of 16.379-seconds around the 1/2-mile oval was just a tick slower than pole-sitter Derek Thorn (16.277-seconds).
The top 30 cars in time trials are locked into the starting field for Sunday’s race; the remainder go to the last chance race on Saturday which will see the top four finishers transfer to the feature event.
Butcher is running a car out of the North Carolina-based Wilson Racing stable with teammates Casey Roderick (Q9) and Derek Kraus (Q28).
Sunday’s race is being streamed live online (PPV) by Speed 51 TV.
