GEARY, NB – Cassius Clark won the Irving Blending & Packaging Pro Stock 250 on Sunday night at Speedway 660 and won $30,100. It was the biggest winner’s share in the history of Speedway 660. Clark was challenged by several strong contenders but turned them all aside while dominating the 250 lap race. “We’ve won some pretty big races over the years but this is the biggest payday in my racing career and I want to thank Rollie MacDonald and this King Racing Team for putting an awesome car under me tonight” said Clark from Farmington, Maine. “The car was perfect and to win the Irving Blending & Packaging 250 in front of this capacity crowd at Speedway 660 is something I’ll remember for a long time.” Thirty-one cars started the richest race in Atlantic Canada. Johnny Clark, a two-time winner of the 250, rallied late in the race and made a strong run to the front but had to settle for second place. Craig Slaunwhite, another former winner, came home third. Cassius Clark, DJ Shaw and Dave O’Blenis won the Pro stock heat races. Sara MacKay and Dylan Gosbee took the checkers in the Consolation races. Each of those laps paid $1000. Clark, who led 246 of the 250 laps pocketed $15,100 in Contingency Award prize money. That combined with the $15,000 to win gave Clark over $30,000.
