File photo, by Ken MacIsaacButcher Second, MacDonald Fifth Friday Night at Hickory Motor Speedway March 19, 2022 Regional Two of the top five finishers Friday night at Hickory Motor Speedway in North Carolina were from Nova Scotia. Hantsport’s Cole Butcher finished second and Pictou’s Austin MacDonald was fifth. Both drivers have extended schedules in the U.S. this year while planning limited schedule runs on tracks closer to home. Ryan Moore won the PASS-sanctioned event with Joey Polewarczyk third and Gabe Brown fourth. Friday’s show was the first of a double-header weekend at Hickory for the PASS super late model competitors and planned in lieu of the missed race last year. A second Easter Bunny 150 goes Saturday night. Fans who can’t make the race can watch by pay-per-view online at speed51.tv (a Racing America broadcast).
