Cole Butcher Gets 2nd PST Win of 2018, 1st at Oyster Bed Speedway July 1, 2018 Regional OYSTER BED BRIDGE, PE – Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) picked up his second victory of the season and his first Series win at Oyster Bed Speedway tonight in front of a capacity crowd. Jonathan Hicken (Brudenell) battled hard with Butcher but ended up second in the caution-filled race. Greg Proude (Springvale) completed the podium followed by Nicholas Naugle (Dartmouth, NS) and Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall). Steve Lively (Shubenacadie, NS), Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) and Naugle won Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races which set the field for the Parts for Trucks 150. Naugle’s fourth-place finish earned him the King Freight Future Winner Award. Waylon Farrell (Conception Bay South, NL) goes home with the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race with a 10th place finish. The race saw 12 cautions and took nearly two and one-half hours to complete. Coady Palmer won the Outlaw 50 while Craig MacDonald took the victory for the Maritime League of Legends Tour prior to the Parts for Trucks 150 feature. The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour will take next weekend off but returns to Riverside International Speedway on Saturday, July 14th for the much anticipated IWK 250 presented by Steve Lewis featuring NASCAR personality and FOX Sports Racing broadcaster Kenny Wallace.
