From the management at Speedway Miramichi:

Management and staff at Speedway Miramichi continue to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic in New Brunswick and in our neighboring provinces. Given the current state of being in the orange phase, and the yellow phase still expected to be a few weeks away, the following changes are being announced:

Our Season Opener event scheduled for May 30 is being postponed. This
event will tentatively be made up on Saturday, August 29, with more information TBA. Our goal is to open the 2020 season on Saturday, June 20.

While no other dates are affected at this time, some events will be swapped. With the Season Opener being June 20, the Day of 8’s will now be run August 29. Schedule updates will be posted on the website.

Out of an abundance of caution, we will not be hosting our Kid’s Day event in 2020, and a new theme for this event will be announced. There will, unfortunately, be no Kid’s Rides, Autograph Session’s, or similar driver
/ fan interactions this season out of safety for all.

As we get closer to our first event, more changes in accordance with the Emergency Measures Act will be announced, as well as some incentives for drivers and fans. We remain optimistic that there will be a 2020 season at the track, but the picture of what this season will be is still unclear. We continue to maintain dialogues and seek guidance as we continue to push forward with the 2020 season.

Note for Drivers – While we wait for the season to get underway, the track will be open for rentals and testing. A $50 an hour per car fee will apply for any rental session, and all sessions are by appointment only. In accordance with regulations, no more than 10 people will be permitted. Spectators and crew are $10 each.

Stay tuned for more information as we continue to navigate this unprecedented situation and be sure to stay safe and healthy.
