Petty Ready for First Double-Header of Season June 26, 2014 Regional RIVER GLADE, NB (June 25, 2014) – Management at Petty International Raceway are eagerly anticipating this coming weekend as they will host a combined seven different divisions of stock car racers on Friday and Saturday nights. Friday’s show highlight is expected to be the Napa Cmax Sportsman 100-lap feature while Saturday will see the cars and stars of the region’s top touring series, the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour, in the Lucas Oil 100. Mackintosh has spent the majority of the past five years in North Carolina racing Bandoleros and then Legends where he became the 2013 United States INEX Legend Car Semi-Pro Champion and won the U.S. Nationals event in 2013. Mackintosh is home in Amherst for the summer before starting university in North Carolina this fall, hence the opportunity to race at nearby Petty. He will drive a car owned by six-time pro stock champion Wayne Smith, now semi-retired from driving and co-owner of Petty International Raceway. “When we heard Ryan was going to be home for part of the summer it seemed like a good fit for us,” said Smith, who has had Mackintosh’s pro stock ride lettered to promote the 50th running of the River Glade International at Petty later this season (August 22 & 23). Mackintosh will test his talent against the region’s top stock car racers who compete with the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. Besides pro stocks, Saturday’s show will include the Atlantic Tiltload Challenge for Legends Cars, Street Stocks, and Mister Transmission mini stocks. On Friday fans will be treated to 100 laps of Napa Cmax Sportsman action along with Street Stocks, Mister Transmission Mini Stocks, Leisure Days RV Bandoleros, and the AOW Touring Series. Racing starts at 7:30 p.m. Friday and 6 p.m. Saturday. Grandstand admission on just $20 for adults on Friday and $25 on Saturday. Youth tickets (eight to 18) are $10 both days, and children seven and under will be admitted free both days.
