HALDIMAND, ON – Management for Jukasa Motor Speedway have announced a whopping $50,000.00 payout for the winner of the 200-lap pro late model race scheduled on the Canadian Short Track Nationals weekend set for September 1 & 2.

“We feel this is the biggest and richest short track stock car event of the year in Canada and possibly North America so after meetings with our ownership group and partners we are going to make sure it’s the biggest,” said Alex Nagy, general manager. “We’re over the top to announce that the Canadian Short Track Nationals Pro Late Model 200 lap race on September 2nd is now paying $50,000.00 to win and $2,000.00 to start.”

“Our goal when we decided to have this event was to have one of the biggest short track races in Canada and North America, we have many Canadian teams that head south for big shows so we want to have one here that Canadians are proud of and want to be part of along with having our friends from the USA want to come here to be part of it. There has been keen interest from all across Canada including a strong group from the Maritimes and many places in the USA already.”

The Canadian Short Track Nationals on the weekend of September 1 – 2 featuring the APC Late Model Series and the Outlaw Super Late Models on Saturday September 1 and then completing the huge weekend on September 2 with the Pro Late Model 200 lap race along with the $5,000.00 to win Saugeen Shores Transmission 50 lap for the Super Stocks.

The total purse for the Pro Late Model 200 is $166,000.00, based on a 36-car starting field.

Also, to start the weekend Kim Mitchell will be playing in the Pavilion on Friday, August 31. Tickets are available on Jukasa’s website and if you have or buy them race tickets there is a big discount.

Jukasa Motor Speedway is a .625-mile paved speedway located in Hagersville, Ontario, Canada. The track first opened in 1966 as Cayuga Speedway and remained opened until it ceased regular operations in 2010. With new ownership in 2016, the facility underwent extensive renovations.
