HALIFAX, NS – The Upper Clements Parks Maritime League of Legends Tour will contest the fourth round of its eight race season this Saturday at Scotia Speedworld. The Scotia Tire 50 will mark the halfway point in a season that has already given fans lots to talk about in the first three events of the year. The Scotia Tire 50 is a part of the 17th Annual Atlantic Cat 250 weekend.

The series season kicked off at Scotia Speedworld back in May with Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro) scoring the victory in the Farrell’s Racing #48 car. The car has been piloted by Waylon Farrell (Conception Bay South, NL) in the last two events and the two drivers have put the car into the championship lead on the series. The #48 car will be driven by Alex Pacheco (Kannapolis, NC) on Saturday. Pacheco is a well-known name in Legends Car racing and will look make good on his first start Saturday at the 3/10-mile Scotia Speedworld.

Rookie Craig MacDonald (Waverley) has moved to second in the standings, 14 points behind Farrell Racing. Emily Meehan (Rawdon Gold Mines) is third, 12 out of second. Cory Hall (Jolicure, NB) and Adam Meehan (Rawdon Gold Mines) are fourth and fifth, respectively.

The Upper Clements Parks Maritime League of Legends Tour has attracted an average of 21 cars over the first three races of the season and a stout field is expected to be on hand Saturday to vie for the Scotia Tire 50 trophy.

The Legends will run as the undercard for the Atlantic Cat 250 on Saturday. Race time is 5 p.m. Tickets will be available at the gate (cash only).
