Rowe is a three-time champion of the Atlantic Cat 250, tied for the most wins in the event with Farmington, Maine’s Cassius Clark, the defending champion of the event. Both drivers will attempt to become the first four-time winner of the race this weekend. Rowe will drive Steve Henderson’s No. 0 substituting for Shawn Turple. Turple, currently seventh in Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour point standings, will be away but will still collect whatever championship points Rowe earns in the event. Rowe, a multi-time champion on the PASS National and PASS North series, will have a busy 24 hours as he heads for Scotia Speedworld after racing Friday evening in a PASS event at Lee USA Speedway in New Hampshire; it’s approximately 600 km between the two tracks. The Atlantic Cat 250 at Scotia Speedworld this Saturday is the 17th running of the event which started in 2000. A complete entry list is expected to be released by series officials later today or tomorrow. The Atlantic Cat 250 is the second of three annual 250-lap events in the Maritimes. Donald Chisholm, from Antigonish, won the IWK 250 at Riverside International Speedway last month. The Pro Stock 250 at Speedway 660 in Geary, NB is set for September 4. No driver has ever won all three 250’s; Cassius Clark, Slaunwhite, and Sommerville have won the 250’s at Scotia Speedworld and Speedway 660. Flemming, Ben Rowe, and Mike Rowe have won the 250’s at Riverside and Scotia, and Tucker (now retired) has won the 250’s at Speedway 660 and Riverside. The Atlantic Cat 250 wraps up a double-header weekend at Scotia Speedworld with the Affordable Fuels Sportsman 100 headlining Friday night’s show which will also include points racing for Bandolero’s, Trucks, and Lightning divisions. On Saturday it’s the Pro Stocks along with support class action from the Upper Clements Park Maritime League of Legends and the house Thunder division. Fans can meet stars of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour on Wednesday at Atlantic Cat in Dartmouth which is hosting a FREE event from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Cast members of the ‘Curse of Oak Island’ television show will also be on hand and there will be a BBQ and prizes, too. Racing starts Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 5 p.m. Tickets will be available at the gate both days.
