Revised Results – PASS North SLM @ Oxford – July 31; Tie Called for Win August 2, 2016 Regional OXFORD, ME – The Pro All Stars Series (PASS) North Super Late Model series was at Oxford Plains Speedway Sunday afternoon for the HP Hood 150, the last series race at the facility before the historic Oxford 250 on August 28. Unofficial results saw the winner as Wayne Helliwell, by inches over Joey Polewarczyk. Late Monday PASS officials issued official results showing Helliwell and Polewarcyzk as tied for the win, along with the following statement… “After viewing multiple videos and photographs and discussing it with both race teams, we decided that it was a dead heat finish. A video taken 32 feet behind the start finish line shows the 97 car possibly slightly ahead but a shot from this angle will always favor the outside car. After talking to many people, whose opinions varied equally and after trying to recreate the finish the best possible way with photos of vehicles taken at the finish line from several different angles, we have decided to call it a dead heat finish. We are sorry for the confusion to the fans and race teams.
