OYSTER BED BRIDGE, PE – Dylan Blenkhorn (Truro, NS) extended his point lead in the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Saturday night at Oyster Bed Speedway by winning the Lucas Oil 100. Blenkhorn took the lead from pole-sitter Dylan Gosbee (Cornwall) on lap 23 and held the point to the end. Cole Butcher (Porter’s Lake, NS) challenged Blenkhorn over the last half of the race but wound up second. Gosbee completed the podium in third place with Cassius Clark (Farmington, ME) and Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) rounding out the top five.

Gosbee, Blenkhorn and Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) won Atlantic Tiltload Heat Races to set the field for the Lucas Oil 100. Blenkhorn led 79 laps to collect the Linde Most Laps Led Award. Harry Ross White (Noel Road, NS) finished 13th to take home the Exide Batteries Rookie of the Race Award. DJ Casey (Prospect, NS) drove from 16th to seventh place to take the King Freight Future Winners Award.

Kenny Snow (Oyster Bed Bridge) won the Street Stock 50 while Cory Hall (Jolicure, NB) was in victory lane for the second consecutive year in the Upper Clements Parks Maritime League of Legends Tour.

The Series takes a break next weekend but the stars of the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour return to Scotia Speedworld for the Atlantic CAT 250 on August 13 where drivers will be striving for victory and their piece of the $60,000 posted purse.

On Wednesday evening, August 10, Atlantic Cat on Ilsley Avenue in Burnside will host the third Annual Atlantic Cat 250 Driver Meet & Greet. Many stars of the series will be on hand as well some of the cast from History Channel’s The Curse of Oak Island. There will also be a BBQ with all proceeds going to the Make A Wish Foundation. This event is free and open to the public. Tickets for the Atlantic Cat 250 will be available at teh gate on race day.
