Scotia Speedworld Extends Weekly Racing Series Season to September 26 September 16, 2015 Regional Management at Scotia Speedworld have rescheduled last weeks AMP Energy Night lost (to rain) Weekly Racing Series (WRS) show for September 26, effectively extending the 2015 season by one week. This Friday, originally scheduled as the WRS season finale, will be the second-last event and feature the Hydraulics Plus Bandits and Outlaws, the Chickenburger Thunder & Lightning, Strictly Hydraulics Legends and Coors light Trucks. Grandstands open at 5:00 p.m. with racing action slated for 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, September 26 racing will start at 2:00 p.m. and will be the season finale for all divisions except the Chickenburger Thunder car competitors who will determine their season champion this Friday. Scotia Speedworld (SSW) is a 3/10-mile asphalt oval racing facility. SSW is the only track in Nova Scotia to host a weekly racing series, which runs May through September and features six different classes of racecars. SSW also hosts special events, including Monster Jam and the Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour. SSW is located at Exit 6 on Highway 102, across from the Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
